The Duck Brand / logo redesign

The Duck Brand Hotel & Cantina in Winthrop has been serving customers since 1978. After a long run it was revamped and remodeled. The new owners wanted a fresh logo that communicated that change, and asked me to design one based on an old painting on the restaurant (below).

I rescued the most iconic elements of the painting for this redesign.
